 The Civil Report verifies the applicant's Name, Address and Telephone Number, as well as provides information if there have been any reported cases of identity theft related to the Social Security Number. The report includes Alias Names, Fraud Information and Public Records, which include Bankruptcies, Tax Liens, Foreclosures and Civil Judgments.
The existence of public records, in and of themselves may not exclude hiring an applicant; it does however give a potential employer insight into the credit worthiness of a future employee.
