Employee Relations Receives IMAGE Award from U.S. Immigration & Customs Enforcement

Employee Relations, Inc. (ER), has been awarded an “IMAGE” Certificate in recognition of its membership in the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Mutual Agreement between Government and Employers (IMAGE) Best Employment Practices Program.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), as represented by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Employee Relations, Inc. (ER) will seek to: promote principles of ethical business conduct, prevent the knowing hiring of unauthorized workers throught self-governance and encourage voluntary reporting the discover of unauthorized workers to ICE. The parties agree to work jointly in this program to prevent and isolate misconduct or criminal actions at the workplace relating to illegal aliens gaining employment in industry nationwide.

As a result of participating in the IMAGE program, ICE and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has provided ER the proper education and training on hiring procedures, fraudulent document detection, use of the E-Verify employment eligibility verification program and anti-discrimination procedures.

ER, being deemed "IMAGE Certified" (a distinction DHS believes will become an industry standard) is committed to DHS' best hiring practices. The results of the IMAGE program will guide DHS in shaping future worksite enforcement policy and legislation.
